Job Title: Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Postpartum team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to new mothers and their babies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for their recovery and well-being.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Postpartum will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the postpartum unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide individualized care to patients and their families, promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-care and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 1 year inpatient RN experience required, with maternal/newborn care experience preferred.
  • Ability to work weekend rotation and 8 or 12-hour shifts.
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended, and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
