Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, process journal entries, and maintain precise financial records while ensuring robust internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, conduct variance analysis, and provide financial insights to facilitate management decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and support tax preparation and compliance efforts.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems, updating accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
- Conduct financial analysis, prepare management reports, and assist in forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
