Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Therapist to conduct assessments and develop individualized therapeutic programs for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and be licensed by the state of Texas to practice as a Speech-Language-Pathologist.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic programs to improve or restore communicative and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with the Rehab Director and other healthcare professionals to ensure integration of the therapeutic program in the plan of care.
- Provide patient education and training on techniques and exercises to improve communication and swallowing skills.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in the patient's condition or treatment.
- Participate in patient case conferences to coordinate the patient's plan of care and promote positive therapeutic outcomes.
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from a University program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association.
- Current licensure by the state of Texas to practice as a Speech-Language-Pathologist.
- One year of experience in Speech Language Pathology in a home health setting preferred.
