Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collect and record patient health data, evaluating it to identify potential problems and implementing interventions as needed.
- Develop and implement patient education plans, providing patients and families with established materials and guidelines.
- Perform procedures according to medical orders and nursing standards, adhering to approved practice standards and hospital policies.
- Document patient care and interactions, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
- Collaborate with support personnel to ensure efficient and effective patient care, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
- Advocate for patients, preserving and protecting their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Graduation from a Practical Nursing program, required.
- Previous healthcare experience, preferred.
- Current NYS licensure as a Practical Nurse or valid interim permit, required.
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire, required.
This role requires occasional travel and may involve exposure to bodily fluids and other hazards. The working environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
