The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Network Engineering team. As a Python Automation Developer Intern, you will play a key role in automating testing of Residential Gateway and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) devices in a lab environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify and configure hardware and software combinations to accurately recreate field scenarios that capture device performance.
  • Develop automation scripting to address needs for configuration changes, debug logging, database reporting, and other day-to-day functions involved in our Quantum Fiber products and services.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement test cases and build test plans.
  • Work with Linux and commonly used shell versions in consumer electronics, as well as Ethernet and Wi-Fi performance levels and requisite testing.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating between August 2025 and May 2026.
  • Preferred fields include Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related fields.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar automation scripting, as well as knowledge of API design, programming, integration, and testing.
Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $26.00/hour, Max: $43.00/hour
