About the Role

Cannon Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Weekend CT Technologist to perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans on patients during weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic CT scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and reassurance as needed.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental policies.
  • Position patients correctly and accurately to obtain high-quality images, adjusting imaging parameters as necessary.
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast agents and respond promptly and appropriately.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to review imaging studies and ensure accurate interpretation and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including image acquisition and patient history.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including radiation safety and infection control measures.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and assistance to other members of the imaging team as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with experience and education. Hiring compensation ranges from $27.00-$39.15 per hour. Eligible for Work on Weekend (WOW) and shift differential on top of base rate of pay. Eligible for benefits after a 60-day waiting period.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current certification and registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT-CT or equivalent) required at time of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at time of hire.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in radiology preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in the use of CT scanners and related software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts as scheduled.
