Job Summary

The Medical Dosimetrist is a key member of the Radiation Therapy team at Glens Falls Hospital, responsible for planning and ensuring the quality of patient treatment. This role requires a high level of expertise and certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute radiation therapy treatments for patients
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with radiation therapists and medical physicists to achieve optimal treatment outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB)
  • Licensed Radiation Therapist (ARRT) and N.Y.S. Dept of Health registration
