The Medical Dosimetrist is a key member of the Radiation Therapy team at Glens Falls Hospital, responsible for planning and ensuring the quality of patient treatment. This role requires a high level of expertise and certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute radiation therapy treatments for patients
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of treatment plans
- Collaborate with radiation therapists and medical physicists to achieve optimal treatment outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies
- Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy
- Certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB)
- Licensed Radiation Therapist (ARRT) and N.Y.S. Dept of Health registration
