Production Worker Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Hibbing, MN to fill Production Worker roles on the 1st shift.

Job Summary

We are seeking candidates with previous experience operating a forklift and knowledge of basic maintenance on MIG and TIG welding machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling products using hand and power tools, managing inventory, and performing basic maintenance on equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble products using hand and power tools such as torches, grinders, plasma torches, drills, and other shop equipment
  • Manage inventory and upcoming shipments
  • Use a computer system for tracking, creating, and coordinating shipments
  • Perform basic maintenance on MIG and TIG welding machines
  • Weld assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Responsible for the basic maintenance and care of equipment and tools
  • Change gas bottles as required
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating a forklift
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic maintenance on MIG and TIG welding machines
  • Strong mechanical ability and knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

Compensation for these temp-to-hire opportunities ranges between $17.50-$19.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
