We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager/Proposal Writer to join our team at I.M. Systems Group, Inc. as a full-time employee. The successful candidate will lead and support our proposal team in federal contracts bidding, contributing to the company's business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Capture Manager to manage the proposal process from RFI to final RFP requirements, developing response strategies and responding with full proposals.
- Lead/assist proposal strategies for technical solution, staffing, management, and other commonly required components, and assist in business development.
- Orchestrate the proposal development process, including managing schedule, making writing assignments, quality control inputs, organizing reviews, carrying out revisions, and ensuring delivery timelines.
- Communicate and coordinate with team partners for timely and relevant business intelligence and proposal inputs.
- Lead writing of critical proposal sections with technical depth.
- Coordinate with company senior management and make recommendations for bid/no-bid decisions.
- Step up as Capture Manager as situation demands.
- Masters or above Degree in Earth science disciplines or closely related fields; or B.S. with over 15 years of experience combining technical development, business development, and program management.
- Familiarity with Federal agencies that have core environmental monitoring, R&D, and/or forecasting capabilities.
- Solid experience with industrial proposal writing, with proofs of winning proposals.
- Knowledgeable in science, data, and technology in earth science research and application domains.
- Familiarity with federal government contracting, task performance, and task management.
- Skillful in using reporting and analytical tools to clearly communicate ideas, processes, outcome, as well as risks and mitigation.
- An outgoing and friendly personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- PMP certification is preferred.
