Job Title: Relief Youth Counselor
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a stable and nurturing environment for youth in crisis, promoting emotional well-being and safety.
- Manage crisis situations and assist youth with problem-solving, using effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Conduct regular bed checks to ensure the safety and security of youth, documenting any incidents or concerns.
- Assist with intake processes, gathering necessary information and submitting required documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members, parents/guardians, and youth, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a crisis intervention or mental health setting.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.
Work Schedule:
- Day shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm.
- Weekend & Swing shifts: Saturday & Sunday, 8:45am - 10:30pm; Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 10:30pm.
- Overnight Awake shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 8:00am; Friday & Saturday, 10:00pm - 9:00am.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $20.00.
- Retention Bonus: $500 after 1 year of employment.
