Job SummaryPrecision Industrial Contractors is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex industrial equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle and reassemble machinery and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Equipment Movement: Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
- Foundation Construction: Construct foundations for machines, using hand tools and building materials.
- Alignment and Assembly: Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.
- Repair and Lubrication: Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment, as needed.
- Load Movement: Select cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved. Attach loads with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hooks.
- Hoisting Equipment Setup: Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings, use hand tools and power tools, and work independently with minimal supervision.
