About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team at Dignity Health. As a key member of our obstetrics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Triage patients to determine the best course of care and provide emotional support during labor and delivery.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and provide education to patients on various interventions and procedures.
  • Assist with cesarean sections, tubal ligation, and other emergency procedures as needed.
  • Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers and their babies.
  • Communicate effectively with the care management team, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
  • ADN, Diploma, or Foreign Equivalent.
  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
  • Current BLS Card (American Heart Association Only), Current ACLS Card (or within 6 months of hire), NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
