Job Title: Therapist

WestCare Foundation is seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing individual and family therapy to consumers referred by child welfare agencies.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating clinical activities, conducting admissions, assessments, and providing therapy services. You will work closely with the consumer and their family to develop Wellness and Recovery Plans and conduct monthly reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct admission and Biopsychosocial assessments using standardized tools
  • Provide individual and family therapy, including in-home and on-site sessions
  • Develop and review Interpretive Summaries and Wellness and Recovery Plans
  • Document all clinical services and activities in accordance with licensing, Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards
  • Administer verbal reprimands and learning experiences to consumers
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide referrals for ancillary services
Requirements:
  • Certification as a CAP or MCAP, or licensure as a LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in good standing
  • Graduation from an accredited masters program in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Two years of previously supervised work experience in providing individual/family therapy
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Reliable means of transportation and familiarity with Miami-Dade County
