Job Description

Primoris Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Manage project risks, identifying and mitigating potential issues that could impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project execution plans, client reports, and other necessary documents.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
  • Own internal project financials, including detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients regarding project coordination, strategic planning, scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment.
  • Manage all aspects of project communication, including regular reporting on progress, cost, and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing On Shore Facility EPC projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed to ensure successful project execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have experience with the production of applicable engineering design and construction documents.
  • Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, including proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
  • Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters.
  • Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Professional Registration preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
