About the Job

This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled Construction Project Superintendent Ground Up who can lead our team in delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will have experience managing large-scale ground-up projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality control, and timely completion.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. A valid driver's license and authorization to work in the US are essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Supervise site operations to ensure a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, property managers, and subcontractors to ensure project progress.
  • Schedule subcontractors for each phase of development and construction.
  • Maintain compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Conduct daily logs and weekly reports.
  • Verify completion of checklists, inspections, and punch-out stages.
  • Execute company policies and enforce uniformity in construction methods.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects from planning to occupancy.

Requirements:

  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing commercial ground-up construction projects in the $1 Million-$10 Million range.
  • OSHA certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • General knowledge of safety regulations, local and state building codes, environmental codes, and industry-specific codes and guides.
  • Strong people skills, good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work on larger projects with a full team and smaller projects leading site operations.
  • Technology skills to learn and use our software; prior experience using construction software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions, and engineering/architectural drawings.
  • A valid Florida driver's license.
  • Proper authorization to work in the US.
  • Dependable, well-organized, aggressive, and energetic to meet deadlines.
