Job Summary:
Soliant is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional needs of students in Benton, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' educational, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
- Provide counseling and mentoring services to address academic, emotional, and social challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention plans.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide support in emergency cases.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Stay current with developments in the field of school psychology and engage in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Certification by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) is preferred.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and a multidisciplinary team.
