About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at JAX Mercantile Co. in North Fort Collins, CO. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked sales floor, and assisting with visual merchandising and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide honest and informative answers to their questions
  • Make suggestions about products that customers might want
  • Perform necessary tasks for efficient department operation
  • Stock shelves and assist the Department Manager
  • Provide customer feedback to Department Managers and the Buyers Team
  • Accurately process payments
  • Help with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
  • Complete record-keeping tasks and contribute to reports
  • Learn about products to provide better answers to customer questions
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts
  • Communicate professionally and present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Take steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
  • Assist in inventory responsibilities
Requirements
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Organizational skills
  • Engaging and positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous knowledge or retail experience with patio and gardening products preferred
  • Cashiering experience desired
  • Computer proficiency required
