Job Summary:
The Operating Room Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This includes preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring vital signs during procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery by administering medications, positioning patients, and ensuring proper equipment is available.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Administer anesthesia and medications as prescribed by the anesthesiologist.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Provide education to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the Operating Room.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
