About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior Manager to join our Not for Profit Industry Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, supervising staff, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engagement team in planning and executing audit engagements to deliver exceptional client service
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting
  • Provide supervision, training, and support to engagement staff, promoting open communication with the engagement manager and partner
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to resolve client issues and recommend operational or internal control improvements
  • Manage multiple engagements concurrently, ensuring efficient delivery of client deadlines
  • Create and track engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare financial statements and footnotes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Active CPA license
  • At least 8 years of public accounting experience, with at least 5 years of nonprofit client experience and leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership, including defining market opportunities, creating strategic plans, and deploying capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including familiarity with GASB and Higher Education clients
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to set strategy and lead a team of professionals in various capacities
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced, interactive, results-driven team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to engagement partners or client management
  • Ability to constructively monitor and formally evaluate personal and client account performance
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to clients in Central and Northern New Jersey and New York City
