Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a current state RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing institution. Additional qualifications include:
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification upon hire
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience
- BSN preferred
- Experience in wound care and ostomy preferred
- Wound care/Ostomy certification preferred
Department Overview:
The RN Nurse Navigator role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering specialized care in wound, ostomy, and continence management. You will standardize care for patients with critical limb ischemia, perform risk assessments, facilitate necessary testing, and provide education to patients and their families regarding diseases, procedures, and testing. You will also serve as a resource for nursing practices related to skin, wound, ostomy, and continence care for hospital staff and the community. Additionally, you will coordinate a comprehensive pressure sore prevention program and oversee ongoing education and staff development in all aspects of skin, wound, ostomy, and continence care.
