Transfer Driver

We are seeking a skilled Transfer Driver to join our team at Peterson Farms Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting items between our plants, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Ensure trucks are fueled and ready for operation.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized truck and trailer.
• Transport loads from Main Plant to OCFS in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Verify that all loads have the necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Collaborate with yard supervisors and other drivers to meet product transfer needs.
• Ensure all products produced at Main Plant are transferred to OCFS at the end of each shift.
• Occasionally transport non-perishable items such as packaging supplies and equipment between plants.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• Preferred 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and ability to follow them.
• Ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles and comply with speed limits and laws.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written job instructions.
• Ability to follow quality standards and GMP rules.
• Ability to work as a contributing member of the team.
• Ability to frequently lift/move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
