Job Description

Overview

JST is currently in search of a Procurement Technician APSO (Acquisition function). This position is a full-time onsite role with potential for hybrid or remote work arrangements. The Procurement Technician APSO (Acquisition function) is expected to maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct. The individual will be responsive and may need to interact with senior government and industry officials. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for clear and concise documentation and communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for procurement activities
  • Manage contract file records and documentation
  • Handle federal records management and contract file documentation
  • Engage in procurement of DoD supplies and services
  • Employ methods and techniques for fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex issues, and develop actionable plans to address challenges
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and data management systems effectively
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in procurement administrative support
  • Familiarity with contract file record management and federal records management
  • Experience in fact-finding, analysis, and problem resolution, with the ability to formulate concrete action plans
  • Strong written communication skills for summarizing events, preparing recommendations, and documenting strategies
  • Skilled in preparing and submitting documents in a DOD format
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and data management systems

Clearance Requirements

  • MUST be able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance
