Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

The Army National Guard Units is seeking a highly skilled Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to join our team. As a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the work of subordinate workers to ensure the maintenance and repair of complex systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Plans and coordinates the work of subordinate workers to ensure the timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
Directs and supervises the work of subordinate workers to ensure that tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Coordinates with other supervisors and teams to ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Develops and implements procedures to ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
Must have at least 36 months of experience or training leading to a thorough knowledge of the mechanical makeup, operation, and working relationships of complex systems, assemblies, and parts for a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment.
Ability to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and modify a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment.
Knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other non-mechanical systems that have a functional relationship and effect on the operation of mechanical systems.
Working Conditions
The work environment for this position is typically indoors, but may also involve working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The work may also involve working with hazardous materials and equipment. The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and tools as needed.
