Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our high-energy kitchen team at Spell Restaurant Group.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards, ensuring presentation, taste, and texture meet expectations.
  2. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of cooks, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  3. Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen systems, processes, and equipment to maintain efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  4. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency and excellence in all dishes served.
  5. Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements

To be successful as a Sous Chef at Spell Restaurant Group, you will need:

  • Prior Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a scratch kitchen environment.
  • Culinary Skills: Proficiency in cooking techniques, ingredient management, and menu planning.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support when needed.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with colleagues, managers, and customers.
