Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Endoscopy Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in the performance of endoscopic procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department, adhering to unit and hospital policies for cleanliness and disinfection.
  • Provide exceptional patient care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Perform clerical duties as necessary to ensure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
  • Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, and maintain order and cleanliness of the workstation.
  • Complete charges for patients.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Preferred graduate of GI/OR Technology program or CNA/MA program.
  • Previous experience as Unit Secretary preferred or as CNA/MA.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required.
  • Previous experience in Endoscopy preferred.
