At The Preschool Center, we pride ourselves on being a vibrant and supportive preschool committed to the holistic development of children aged 3-5 years. Our curriculum is crafted to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning. We embrace a variety of teaching philosophies, including play-based learning, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori methods, while also highlighting the significance of movement, yoga, and STEM-related activities in our educational approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead educator in designing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children.
- Foster a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes active engagement and exploration.
- Interact with children through play, storytelling, and diverse educational experiences.
- Support daily routines and transitions.
- Incorporate music, movement, yoga, and STEM-related activities into the daily schedule.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Monitor and evaluate children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to establish a cohesive and enriching learning environment.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred).
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children.
- A strong commitment to early childhood education and a desire to support children's growth and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability to various learning styles.
- Familiarity with different educational philosophies (e.g., play-based, Reggio Emilia, Montessori).
- Experience in integrating movement, yoga, and STEM activities into educational programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and fingerprinting required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Head Teaching Certification in early childhood education.
