About the Role

Hamilton County Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need, and develop recommendations for instructional and educational programming.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement interventions related to student Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in school psychology and to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, evaluations, and interventions, and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's or Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Licensure: Valid state of Tennessee School Psychologist license (Endorsements: 089 School Psychologist).
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a collaborative team environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
