About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Specialist to join our team at the University of North Texas System's Kristin Farmer Autism Center.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to work with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Behavioral Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing evidence-based interventions, collecting data, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts.
  • Collect, record, and graph client data, reporting concerns regarding progress to supervisors.
  • Assist clients with physical, communicative, emotional, and instructional needs, including lifting, positioning, feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and orderly clinical spaces, including classrooms and treatment rooms.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent and one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Basic understanding of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to work with clients with ASD, patience, flexibility, and versatility in stressful situations.
