Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a front, side, or rear-loading truck to collect and transport waste and recyclable materials
  • Ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
  • Collaborate with other drivers and support staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement
  • 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years
  • Great safety record and clean MVR
  • Experience as a driver or helper for a waste management company is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations
  • Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, and respond to official questions
Working Conditions

Routes may require drivers to navigate through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job. Drivers will be required to climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
