Key Responsibilities:
Provides specialized electrical and electronic engineering support for a cutting-edge industrial melting operation.

Designs, installs, commissions, and tests new machinery and upgrades, including capital projects; oversees and directs external resources when necessary.

Suggests enhancements to boost reliability, quality, and efficiency of site equipment. Manages modifications as approved. Collaborates with engineering and management to devise solutions for recurring issues. Ensures solutions and modifications are implemented effectively. Assesses the success of actions taken.
Drives and/or engages in continuous improvement initiatives for processes, equipment, and maintenance.
Aids in troubleshooting unplanned outages.
Guides and supports technicians in diagnosing large industrial power supplies, drives, and furnace components.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots operational electrical systems using meters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
Prepares reports documenting operational performance, accomplishments, projects, training, and maintenance activities.
Maintains a commitment to professional development through selected seminars, courses, trade publications, and literature.
Effectively communicates organizational and departmental objectives, achievements, challenges, solutions, practices, changes, and policies. Promotes positive communication. Upholds all company policies, rules, and regulations.
Conducts all operations in a safe and orderly environment. Enforces all safety protocols and regulations. Actively works to minimize accidents. Participates in various Safety Programs.
Maintains high ethical standards and integrity. Conducts all operations in a professional and businesslike manner.
Supports weekend and holiday assignments as necessary.

Additional Duties:
Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. 3-6 years of experience in electrical/electronic roles within industrial electronics and/or machine control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.

Hands-on experience with industrial power supplies, drives, motors, and controls; capable of troubleshooting electrical component controls in an industrial setting.

Proficient in operating electrical testing equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers.
Programming experience in PLC Ladder Logic, C/C++, C#, or C.net is preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, motor drives, etc.) is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while collaborating with personnel at all organizational levels.
