About the Position:
This position requires a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in vascular access, cardiology, or interventional radiology settings. A graduate degree in nursing is desirable. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing direct nursing care pre, during, and post-procedure, utilizing standard nursing techniques to assist physicians in achieving optimum patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and IV moderate sedation to patients, as directed by physicians' orders, and in compliance with organization, company, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Act as a resource for patients and families, addressing concerns and questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to organization policies and procedures.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
Requirements:
- Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.).
- 4-6 years' related experience preferred, preferably in Office-Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU/CCU or emergency department settings.
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and experience with Medical database software.
- Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications.
