We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Surgery Care Division at Atrium Health. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside General Surgeons to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide thorough history and physical assessments, as well as general perioperative and postoperative management.
- Evaluate, assess, and implement plans for patients with co-morbid medical conditions secondary to surgical illness or injury.
- Work on the inpatient surgical service and in the outpatient clinic, covering general and acute care surgery.
- Assist in the OR with traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery cases, and perform minor surgical procedures.
- Help teach APP students and contribute to the development of our team.
- Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
- Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
- Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
