Endoscopy Technician

As an Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal Technician at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in assisting the GI team with procedures and patient care. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional service to our members and patients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities- Assist gastroenterologists and providers with diagnostic and minor medical procedures, such as biopsies and abdominal pressure applications.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensure patient safety by verifying medications, procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
- Support patient flow and provide assistance as needed.
- Report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents promptly.
- Assist in orienting and training new employees and transporting equipment or patients.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience as an Endoscopy or Gastrointestinal Technician.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Technician Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Gastrointestinal Certification preferred.
- One year of recent experience in GI within the past 5 years required.
