Job SummaryAs a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will deliver efficient, high-quality, and safe nursing care to all clients within the program(s).
Your responsibilities will include monitoring, assessing, planning care, intervening, and evaluating the medical/nursing management of clients under your care, as well as in all other levels of care assigned by the ACE Nurse Manager and/or ACE Team Leader.
You may also take on the Charge Nurse role, overseeing counselor assistants, certified nurse assistants, and other licensed staff to ensure the completion of all assigned tasks on the accountability sheet.
Additionally, you may serve as Team Leader as designated by the ACE Nurse Manager.
Qualifications- Valid CT RN license.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- CPR & AED certification within six months of employment.
- Accredited certification in Addictions Nursing (CARN) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or actively pursuing credentialing) is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in Psychiatric or Substance Abuse Treatment preferred.
- Experience as a CNA, Mental Health Worker, or in a related field is desirable for newly graduated nurses.
