Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced psychiatric care autonomously or in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee psychiatric initiatives, track developments, and propose enhancements.
  • Prescribe medications, conduct tests, interpret results, and facilitate referrals.
  • Engage in quality assessment and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Act as a key member of the patient's recovery team.
  • Collaborate with physicians through telehealth services.
Core Job Functions:

  • Function within the boundaries of licensure to ensure a therapeutic and secure psychiatric setting.
  • Provide both acute and long-term psychiatric care, including regular evaluations and necessary referrals.
  • Conduct patient rounds, lead Recovery Team Meetings, and liaise with legal entities.
  • Ensure precise and prompt documentation of patient interactions.
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance enhancement initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of psychiatric nursing practices and regulations governing mental health services.
  • Proficiency in interpreting laboratory findings and managing patient care.
  • Capability to assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions.
  • Ability to oversee other professionals delivering psychiatric services.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Competence to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
