Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate travel nurse position in the United States. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
About the RoleAs an Oncology RN, you will provide high-quality care to critically or chronically ill cancer patients. Under the direction of a physician, your responsibilities may include administering chemotherapy, implementing new symptom treatment methods, and monitoring patient progress.
Oncology Travel Nurses play a crucial role in creating a supportive care environment. A significant portion of this important job is educating cancer patients about treatment options and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and treatment tracking.
- Offer emotional support and comfort to cancer patients and their families.
- Maintain attention to detail while working under pressure.
- Implement best practice treatment protocols in various settings.
Oncology Travel Nurses must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
Oncology RNs may be exposed to hazards from chemicals and infectious diseases.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- BLS Certification
- CHEMO Certification
- 2 Years of Recent Acute Care Experience
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
