Typical Work Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour daytime shift. Additional hours may be required as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of a Commercial HVAC/R Technician is designed to deliver HVAC services, specifically focusing on:
- Identifying repair and replacement needs.
- Installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment.
- Assisting other skilled trades as necessary.
- Ensuring tools and materials are available at the job site.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in commercial HVAC operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Graduation from an HVAC technical institute or school.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Competence in handling large vehicles, including parking and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Proficiency in basic record-keeping using web-based applications on mobile devices.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to various system sizes and types.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems (1-50 Tons), Commercial Refrigeration, Boilers (gas and oil-fired), Electrical Troubleshooting, and/or Digital Controls.
- Excellent client interaction skills to ensure satisfaction and obtain referrals.
Additional Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and job site, including preparation and cleanup.
- Possess personal hand tools, meters, and gauges upon employment.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
- Adhere to attendance policies and be willing to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment:
Must be able to work in various climates, including extreme heat and cold. Physical stamina is required for walking, squatting, bending, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Universal refrigerant certification.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
