We are seeking a highly skilled CDI Ambassador to join our team at UofL Health. As a key member of our clinical documentation improvement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and complete clinical documentation for optimal reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities- Finalize Open Queries: Collaborate with CDI specialists and physicians to resolve open queries and ensure accurate documentation.
- Review Medical Records: Conduct thorough reviews of inpatient medical records to identify documentation opportunities and improve clinical documentation processes.
- Provide Education and Training: Offer ongoing education and training to physicians and medical staff on clinical documentation best practices and coding guidelines.
- Develop Physician Relationships: Foster strong relationships with physicians and act as a trusted resource for clinical documentation guidance.
- Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with various departments to improve documentation processes and ensure seamless communication.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Acute Care Experience or Inpatient Coding Experience: Have a minimum of 3+ years of acute care experience or inpatient coding experience.
- Clinical Certifications and Coding Knowledge: Hold relevant clinical certifications and possess advanced knowledge of disease processes and coding guidelines.
