Bonds and Surety Underwriter

Hire Point Recruiting is looking for a talented Commercial Bonds Manager to oversee all aspects of bond underwriting and management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and managing underwriting files, communicating with clients and underwriters, and ensuring timely issuance and processing of various bond types.

• The estimated annual salary for this position is around $90,000-$120,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Underwriting Files Preparation: Prepare and manage underwriting files for new and existing accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
2. Client Communication: Coordinate updates for current accounts and communicate effectively with surety underwriters to ensure seamless account management.
3. Bond Issuance and Processing: Handle the issuance and processing of commercial bonds, supporting marketing efforts by engaging with underwriters and facilitating account placements.
4. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to place miscellaneous bonds and gather necessary underwriting information.
5. Document Review and Accuracy: Review bond documents and invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with established standards.
6. Premium Collection and Reconciliation: Assist in the collection and reconciliation of premiums, including return premiums.
7. Marketing and Acquisition: Support the marketing and acquisition of new accounts, providing administrative and operational assistance to the V.P. of Surety as needed.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in surety and bonds.
• A Property & Casualty (P&C) License is required.
