Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize incoming patients, providing timely and effective care
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff, adhering to established policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, educating patients and families on necessary follow-up care and instructions
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, with compact license accepted
  • Associate Degree; BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
  • Current BLS- Healthcare Provider certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in an Emergency room setting, with Pediatric setting preferred
