About the Role

SSOE, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge solutions to clients in the industrial, semiconductor, and high-tech manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the architectural design and planning for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Code Analysis and Compliance: Conduct comprehensive code analysis and ensure strict adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Design Oversight: Oversee code conformance, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed established guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Coordinate closely with various disciplines within the organization to collaborate, optimize, and improve work, staff sharing by participating in multi-discipline strategy sessions, and develop innovative and practical architectural solutions.
  • Client Communication: Prepare and present project proposals, design concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and team members.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with changes in building codes, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure project compliance.
  • Field Verification: Perform field verifications / site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
  • License: A Registered Architect (RA) license in good standing.
  • Leadership and Experience: The ability to lead a project team and manage the workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Code Analysis and Compliance: Proven experience in code analysis and understanding of building codes and regulations (such as egress, fire-resistant assemblies, occupancy, and building types).
  • Design Software: Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Hazardous Production Materials (HPM) and chemical storage design principles and regulations.
  • Field Verification: Experience performing field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
