Job Title: Department Head

The Department Head position is a key role within our retail team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate product knowledge and excellent customer service to customers.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales floor staff, ensuring a positive and approachable customer experience.
  • Perform customer service tasks, including cutting keys, filling propane, running the register, and assisting with rental transactions.
  • Recover the department daily, ensuring inventory is fronted, faced, and in the correct place, and aisles are clean and organized.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by monitoring and adjusting min/max order points, working back stock, and making inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Complete cycle counts and update prices as assigned.
  • Open and close the store as assigned, and perform store maintenance tasks, including cleaning common areas, trash removal, and parking lot and sidewalk sweeping.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and maintain situational awareness, identifying and reporting any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Help out in other departments as necessary and follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of retail job experience
  • 2+ years of product knowledge of items in assigned department
