Position Overview

Lee College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach part-time in our Philosophy department. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for philosophy with our students and contribute to the academic success of our institution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach freshman and sophomore-level Philosophy courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports to the Admissions & Records Office in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, both in and out of the classroom, to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of new courses and programs.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of philosophy and incorporate relevant topics into your teaching.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualified candidates must have a Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Philosophy. Prior online teaching experience and certification are preferred, as well as experience with the Blackboard Learning Management System.
