We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder for a challenging role at one of our esteemed clients in the shipyard industry. This is a unique opportunity to join LaborOne Staffing, a leading staffing agency that specializes in providing skilled laborers to various projects across the country.

With an estimated salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, this position offers a competitive compensation package, making it an attractive option for professionals looking to advance their careers in pipe welding.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning, laying out, and executing pipe welding tasks with precision and accuracy. They will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with field labor crews and coordinate installations efficiently.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Plan and diagram pipe welder's work to ensure seamless execution
  • Coordinate with field labor crews for efficient installations
  • Position the weld set up, fit the piping, and perform high-precision welds independently
  • Lay out and assemble pipes accurately according to production standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, code, design, and specifications
  • Make welding repairs and substandard welds as needed
  • Assist with coordination of any pre-fabrication layout or installation
  • Assist with rigging of material
  • Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in the field or related area
  • Working knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position
  • Excellent communication skills to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently

This position requires:

  • Ability to meet all physical requirements
  • Maintenance of all required tools
  • Climbing and working at heights and in confined spaces (exceeding 200 ft)
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload
  • Observance of all safety and project rules
