Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for creating optimal radiation therapy treatment plans and ensuring the accurate delivery of prescribed doses.
Responsibilities
- Create treatment plans using computer software and manual computation
- Contour normal and dose-limiting structures using imaging data
- Assist in simulations and tumor localization using imaging devices
- Communicate with Radiation Therapist(s) and implement treatment plans
- Perform calculations for accurate dose delivery and verify mathematical accuracy
Requirements
- Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board
- 3 years of experience as a Medical Dosimetrist in simulation, patient setup, and radiation therapy treatment planning
- High school diploma and successful completion of a certified Radiologic Technology Training program specialized in Radiation Therapy and Dosimetry
