The Family Practice Residency Training Core Faculty is a critical role that requires a qualified individual to manage and direct residents in a graduate medical education program. This position must be able to meet the residency training requirements of the American Osteopathic Association, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a family medicine resident advisor, providing guidance and support to residents in their academic and professional development.
- Provide assistance with scholarly activity, including research and publication opportunities.
- Assist in the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of medical student applicants for the residency program, when active practice of medicine schedule allows.
- Attend and participate as a voting member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Participate as a voting member on special committees, as convened, to address specific issues and concerns.
- Be willing to attend local, state, and national specialty conferences to represent the program and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field.
- Attend leadership and other professional development meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Fulfill other assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks, as directed by the employee's Director or Administrative representative.
The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited family medicine residency program and have at least 5 years of teaching experience. A strong background in family medicine and a passion for education and mentorship are essential for success in this role.
