As a Refrigeration Start-up Technician, you will be responsible for the start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. Your duties will include:
- Performing evacuations of parallel racks after verifying pressure tests.
- Performing all EMS wiring and programming for various EMS systems.
- Performing full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems and individual systems.
- Leading small projects, such as single case and condenser changeouts.
- Assisting with Energy Optimization projects, including retro-commissioning of supermarkets, EMS upgrades, leak detection upgrades, and gas conversion projects.
- Collaborating with local branch Service and Construction Managers on problematic stores, training junior technicians and foremen, and other tasks as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with coursework at an accredited vocational-technical or trade school.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in supermarket EMS systems, with EMS certification preferred.
- Skills: Expert knowledge of refrigeration, ice machines, and electrical systems, as well as solid working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Certifications: EPA I and II certification, valid driver's license, and good driving record.
