We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fitness Program Director Lead to join our team at Christ Presbyterian Academy. Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

The Fitness Program Director Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive fitness program for students in grades 6-12. This involves creating a cohesive and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth.

  • Design and lead fitness programs for students in grades 6-12, incorporating Olympic lifting, speed and agility training, and general strength conditioning.
  • Develop clear learning and performance objectives for each grade level, ensuring a smooth progression from 6th to 12th grade.
  • Collaborate with coaches, educators, and staff to synchronize curriculum, analyze data, and create an inclusive environment for students of all skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:Program Development and Implementation:

Create a comprehensive fitness program that aligns with best practices in sports science, incorporates injury prevention, mobility, and recovery techniques, and caters to diverse student needs.

  • Utilize fitness technology to track student performance, analyze data, and refine programming.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress, adjust individual training plans, and improve overall program effectiveness.
Data Analysis & Program Evaluation:

Analyze data from technology platforms to track improvements in strength, speed, agility, and overall fitness, and develop reports on student performance trends to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement.

Progression & Synchronization Across Grade Levels:

Establish a synchronized fitness program across all grade levels with a clear progression in skills and difficulty, working closely with physical education teachers, coaches, and athletic trainers to ensure consistent application.

Speed, Agility, and Olympic Lifting:

Design and implement age-appropriate speed and agility drills that enhance students' athleticism and coordination, teaching Olympic lifting techniques safely and effectively.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certification in strength and conditioning (e.g., CSCS).
  • Experience in designing and leading fitness programs, including Olympic lifting and speed/agility training, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of fitness technology and data analysis tools (e.g., GPS systems, wearable tech, video analysis software).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work with students, staff, and parents.
