Inspector I

The Inspector I role at Core Laboratories involves performing basic inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals and refineries, as well as inspection work on board barges and ships. This position requires adherence to industry standards and procedures published by API and Saybolt.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct visual cleanliness inspections of tanks, including entering confined spaces
- Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment
- Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials as defined in Material Safety Data Sheets
- Take product measurements and samples, and complete related calculations and reports
- Perform inventories and non-petroleum or chemical inspection assignments
- Exercise procedural, safety, and quality requirements specified in Saybolt procedures manuals and Core Laboratories policies
- Attend training and pass examinations in petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection procedures
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience as an Inspector or in a related field
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
The Inspector I role requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The employee must be able to work safely and effectively in this environment.
