About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Visiting Research Fellow to join our team at the National Corn to Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates of a bachelor's or master's program, or a 2-year degree in a STEM field to gain hands-on experience and training in a state-of-the-art research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain experience through hands-on assignments at the Fermentation Suite in categories such as operation of bioreactors, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment, analytical testing, revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data collection, analysis, and reporting, project design, implementation, and project management, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program, or a 2-year degree in a STEM field. A strong understanding of bioreactor operation, analytical testing, and project management is essential.

Benefits
